The Letter that Started It All

The Following is the actual letter written by Rev. Stephen Boissoin who was at the time National Chairman of the Concerned Christian Coalition (now Concerned Christians Canada Inc.) It is this letter that has the Rev. Stephen Boissoin and Concerned Christians Canada Inc., (CCC) appearing before The Alberta Human Rights Commission.

The letter is hard hitting and direct, but is written in love and needed to be said in this time of homosexual activism. What is interesting is that when this letter is read in context is not hateful or untrue like the Chief Commissioner of the Alberta Human Rights Commission says they are.

Homosexual Agenda Wicked

June 17, 2002

The following is not intended for those who are suffering from an unwanted sexual identity crisis. For you, I have understanding, care, compassion and tolerance. I sympathize with you and offer you my love and fellowship. I prayerfully beseech you to seek help, and I assure you that your present enslavement to homosexuality can be remedied. Many outspoken, former homosexuals are free today.

Instead, this is aimed precisely at every individual that in any way supports the homosexual machine that has been mercilessly gaining ground in our society since the 1960s. I cannot pity you any longer and remain inactive. You have caused far too much damage.

My banner has now been raised and war has been declared so as to defend the precious sanctity of our innocent children and youth, that you so eagerly toil, day and night, to consume. With me stand the greatest weapons that you have encountered to date - God and the "Moral Majority." Know this, we will defeat you, then heal the damage that you have caused. Modern society has become dispassionate to the cause of righteousness. Many people are so apathetic and desensitized today that they cannot even accurately define the term "morality."

The masses have dug in and continue to excuse their failure to stand against horrendous atrocities such as the aggressive propagation of homo- and bisexuality. Inexcusable justifications such as, "I'm just not sure where the truth lies," or "If they don't affect me then I don't care what they do," abound from the lips of the quantifiable majority.

Face the facts, it is affecting you. Like it or not, every professing heterosexual is have their future aggressively chopped at the roots.

Edmund Burke's observation that, "All that is required for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing," has been confirmed time and time again. From kindergarten class on, our children, your grandchildren are being strategically targeted, psychologically abused and brainwashed by homosexual and pro-homosexual educators.

Our children are being victimized by repugnant and premeditated strategies, aimed at desensitizing and eventually recruiting our young into their camps. Think about it, children as young as five and six years of age are being subjected to psychologically and physiologically damaging pro-homosexual literature and guidance in the public school system; all under the fraudulent guise of equal rights.

Your children are being warped into believing that same-sex families are acceptable; that men kissing men is appropriate.

Your teenagers are being instructed on how to perform so-called safe same gender oral and anal sex and at the same time being told that it is normal, natural and even productive. Will your child be the next victim that tests homosexuality positive?

Come on people, wake up! It's time to stand together and take whatever steps are necessary to reverse the wickedness that our lethargy has authorized to spawn. Where homosexuality flourishes, all manner of wickedness abounds.

Regardless of what you hear, the militant homosexual agenda isn't rooted in protecting homosexuals from "gay bashing." The agenda is clearly about homosexual activists that include, teachers, politicians, lawyers, Supreme Court judges, and God forbid, even so-called ministers, who are all determined to gain complete equality in our nation and even worse, our world.

Don't allow yourself to be deceived any longer. These activists are not morally upright citizens, concerned about the best interests of our society. They are perverse, self-centered and morally deprived individuals who are spreading their psychological disease into every area of our lives. Homosexual rights activists and those that defend them, are just as immoral as the pedophiles, drug dealers and pimps that plague our communities.

The homosexual agenda is not gaining ground because it is morally backed. It is gaining ground simply because you, Mr. and Mrs. Heterosexual, do nothing to stop it. It is only a matter of time before some of these morally bankrupt individuals such as those involved with NAMBLA, the North American Man/Boy Lovers Association, will achieve their goal to have sexual relations with children and assert that it is a matter of free choice and claim that we are intolerant bigots not to accept it.

If you are reading this and think that this is alarmist, then I simply ask you this: how bad do things have to become before you will get involved? It's time to start taking back what the enemy has taken from you. The safety and future of our children is at stake.

Not who Susan - but what. The answer being the promotion of actions and attitudes that God Himself describes as 'indecent' and 'depraved'. This is a call for God fearing Christians to find their voices to oppose this depravity.
God Himself said that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against it.

The wild arrogance of religious leaders such as Boissoin never ceases to amaze me. The monotheist views espoused by these fools does more damage to society than any "homosexual" could ever do.

Wild arrogance? The guy is a Christian Pastor... Christianity is monotheist... so what? What do you want him to do? Preach that people should have immoral sexual relations with each other and worship more than one God? Give me a break. Allow him to preach the gospel as he is supposed to do and leave him alone.

Although I don't think I would state things quite like Stephen does, some of what he has said needs to be stated.

When people live a certain lifestyle they have to be prepared that others may not like or agree with it.

People don't like or agree with smoking, pot, crack, christians, islamists, atheists, liberals, conservatives, ndp, democrats, republicans, whites, blacks, chinese, homosexuals, straights. If you get my picture we all have something we disagree with or dislike with.

We should have that right, and the right to state our opinion no matter how repugnant.

Brandon, grow up. "Leave him alone"!?! Well, perhaps if he took your advice we wouldn't have this lovely conversation. Monotheist views convey that only one god is valid and that all others are "false". Further, those who follow (or not) these other gods are sinners, sick, or just plain wrong. See anything wrong with this picture? Put yourself in the shoes of everyone else who is not on the "right" side of the fence. Do you truly believe that they everything they believe in is invalid? THAT is wild arrogance.

I for one believe that such views are indicative of extreme prejudice, and completely immoral. Far more immoral than what two people chose to do in their bedroom.

Stop drinking the coolaid for a couple of months, expand your thinking, question your beliefs if only to gain a better understanding of yourself. Stop being such a lemming - its foolish!

Amen James!

If people honestly believe that homosexuality is trying to capture their children, they have to be insane. We stand nothing to gain by aiming hatred and anger towards people because of who they chose to love. And that is what it is about isn't it? It's not about boys kissing boys, it's about people loving people. If you believe that being homosexual is all about some strange demoralizing sex acts, let's not forget to take a look at what's going on in the heterosexual community and how demoralized sex has become. Perhaps all this energy would be best directed to things that are really aiming to capture our children, like pornography, drugs, prostitution, crime, etc.

The rally sad part about all of this is that Stephen is actually being prosecuted for what he said.

It is clearly NOT a hate speech.
If it is then rationalnational is also guilty of "hate-mongering" for what he has posted here today.

I am not religious, nor am I extremely right-wing.

People are entitled to their own beliefs and opinions and the "anti-gay" people have just as much right to express their views as anyone else.

I have to admit that if I ever found out that a teacher/person of authority in my children's lives ever told them that it was "okay to be gay" I would be pretty upset...but I wouldn't sue them for inciting hate.

I am a Christ-follower and I have to admit, I do believe there is a real and present "gay-agenda" in our school systems. Encouraging malleable and hormonal grade seven kids to try to pick between what are communicated as two equal options - is "creating" homosexual kids. They think the fact they can have a pleasurable sexual experience with someone of the same sex fits them squarely into the "gay" box. It's just not that simple though. I was attracted to my same-sex friend when I was 12, but out-grew it and look back almost laughingly.

I must concede I agree with many of the points Stephen is making.

That said, the way that his letter was communicated was unloving and pseudo-fearmongering -- possibly even hateful. All his points could have been communicated in a far more constructive and civil manner.

Reading the letter made me feel gross inside, because it illustrates the ugliness of that stereotypical fundamentalist Christian.

I think homosexuality is wrong, but I will always love gay people, and when I let them know my beliefs it will never be in the spirit that this letter was written.

Calling people to arms isn't going to reverse the "gay-agenda." But being Christ to the gay community, just might make a dent.

Stan said this "The letter is hard hitting and direct, but is written in love and needed to be said in this time of homosexual activism. What is interesting is that when this letter is read in context is not hateful or untrue like the Chief Commissioner of the Alberta Human Rights Commission says they are."

What do you mean when you say that this letter is not hateful? Written in love?

Advocating violence or any kind of activism against any group of people regardless of what they believe is wrong.

Brandon.... you must have a very warped sense of what Christianity is all about. It's about loving all people all the time. Not promoting hate or violence. A preacher from any religion is not a true pastor/leader/mentor/guide/role model to his/her flock if he/she promotes any kind of violence or hatred towards any living being be it man or animal. My thought is that Jesus would have had a little problem with that.

Ken... "These things needed to be stated." No they didn't. Tolerance is the hallmark of most of Canada and yes you do have the right to state an opinion, but you do not have the right to use/abuse a position of power to incite hatred towards someone. If he would have given his opinion without inciting others to go forth and do "whatever is necessary" to reign in this "whatever", then it would have been passable. Instead he abused the trust and position that was afforded to him to incite others to do harm. A shattered cheekbone may heal, but the young man who was hurt will take a lot longer to heal from the emotional scars.

Sourvino... It is clearly hate speech. By being a public person in a position of authority he has a greater degree of responsibility than do the regular masses. I may express an opinion, but my opinion in no way would bring others to act in one way or another towards anything or anyone. His position is such that he has a certain amount of influence over his "flock". As his position is one of responsibility for moral/ethical behaviour, his expressing of his opinion sets a different standard than if it were you or I that were to simply state our opinion.

You don't have to be religious to see what is right and what is wrong. This is clearly wrong and Darren Lund (along with the human rights commission) did the right thing by speaking up, censuring this preacher and shining a light on his prejudice.

There's really nothing that can be said to Reverend Boissoin in order for him to become an accepting individual. What's quite hilarious about this hate letter is the fact that he's preaching directly against the word of God.

I am straight, but have grown up around people of many different creeds, races, and sexual orientations. I will tell you right now that, just as a black person doesn't have a choice in being black, a homosexual is bound to the same obligations. It's not wrong, it's not something that should be destroyed or eliminated, it just is. A gay person is attracted, biologically, to someone of the same sex. Are you going to tell a black person that they must have surgery to change the pigment of their skin, even though they don't have a choice in the matter? I would assume any sane person in this day and age would say no. So, why would you condemn a homosexual for being attracted to someone of the same sex? Any sane person, with an understanding of the world and half a brain, wouldn't. Because I can promise you, sir, that homosexuals do not have a choice. I can promise you that right now. My guess is that you haven't been exposed to half the gay people that I, and many people, have; this is perfectly reasonable, and the most likely cause for your utterly unjustifiable prejudice.

If Mr. Boissoin would respond to these comments, I think an interesting conversation could take place. I have complete confidence in my position, because it's really a matter of right versus wrong. Even though the proud Son of Christ stands behind your position as a pastor, sir, does not in turn make your position right. In fact, it makes it all the more twisted to think that you would still believe in such an old and dated concept.

We, as a culture, have outgrown the immaturity of our earlier days, Reverend. You need to play catch-up. Read some material outside of theological texts. It'll help your brain.

It is amazing how quickly the gays jump on the hate bandwagon. In my world every allegation has to be proven. How do you, gay folks, prove that someone who thinks that gay sex is disgusting and unacceptable, actually hates the gay individuals?

Without reading another person's mind it will be pretty damn hard to prove that he hates you. Or that I do, for that matter.

I don't know whether he hates you or not, so I am keeping quiet about that. He did not say that. How do you know...

Going from expressing opposing views to outright hatred is quite a stretch. Now let's dissect the other claims made here.

- Claim: Homosexuals do not try to capture children. Truth: they do, by forcing the governments of one province after another to include gay sexual education into elementary school curriculum. Without such education more children would have ended up heterosexual. With that education the chances that some children will end up gay increases. Children try everything they come into contact with. They will try homosexual sex as a result of training they received.

- Claim: Expressing monotheistic views is immoral. Truth: expressing views is moral neutral. It's practicing certain views that can be moral or immoral. For example, practicing sharia law, under which homosexuals have to receive 100 lashes, or be thrown from a high building, is immoral, while practicing Christian religion which says that everyone may come to a church to get a blessing is moral. Sorry for being so blunt, but that's the way it is. Some things are moral, some are not, but not the views expressed by people. If the views were immoral, some of them would be punishable, but our society awards us immunity in the form of freedom of speech.

- Claim: becoming an accepting individual is good. Truth: see above. There are things that just cannot be accepted. By turning kids homosexual, the homosexuals are achieving their goal of increasing their 'customer base'. They are making it easier for them to find partners. But at the same time they are depriving our children of the joy and happiness of having their own children. Isn't that a crime against humanity? I believe it is. Turning children gay thru government mandated propaganda at school limits their choices, exposes them to illnesses and contributes to the aging of North American population.

It's laughable when accusation of insanity, arrogance, hatred and incitement are being thrown at someone who disagrees. Grow up!

You yourself said that, in your world, "every allegation has to be proven". I will take you up on this perfectly rational statement, and provide scientific proof that homosexuality is not a choice:

Now that I've provided a fair amount of proof to support my statement, I think it's time that you followed your own words and provided proof of your own.

I would love to see proof that "By turning kids homosexual, the homosexuals are achieving their goal of increasing their 'customer base'. They are making it easier for them to find partners." The fact that you could even think of making such a farfetched claim is beyond me. Where's the proof, Aaron? Where's the proof that there's an underground gay organization whose aim is to "turn kids gay"? Because I've done a fair amount of research, and I must say that I've never found evidence of such a group existing.

You say that "Homosexuals...try to capture forcing the governments of one province after another to include gay sexual education into elementary school curriculum. Without such education more children would have ended up heterosexual." Once again, Aaron, I'm asking for proof of this. These are wildly outrageous claims that have absolutely no backing whatsoever.

Your blindness and laughable misunderstanding of the world make it so much easier for rational people to question your "points"; you really should think about what you write before you write it.

So, let me ask you once again, so that you can't evade this question in your next post: Where is the proof for your allegations?

You make another admittedly absurd claim when you say that "Children try everything they come into contact with. They will try homosexual sex as a result of training they received." Funny, Aaron, I don't remember my "Gay Sex 101" class in elementary school. If you could point out that class in any school schedule around the world, please do so and I will gladly stand down.

I think I've fulfilled my end of the bargain pretty well, don't you Aaron? I've provided significant proof to back up my claim, and yet you've gone nowhere with yours. You've said unsupported and unreliable things about a subject which you haven't backed up with any kind of proof.

But, then again, that's what faith is all about, isn't it?

Holy Molly, now I make allegations! Whoa, no, whoa!

Okay, bit by bit you are getting what you asked for.

You are the only one who mentioned an 'underground gay organization', not me. Does your passion for conspiracy theories speak out? Dunno. I am not saying that those are necessarily gay people who push gay agenda in public education! I actually think that they are mostly straight, but alas, they follow the misguided socialist ideals. The homosexual relationship is just a tool used to reduce amount of hard work for the unionized teachers.

It is obvious that if children are given homosexual education, more of them will try homosexual intercourse, than if they were not told of that (and specially if they were not told that it was normal and welcome behavior). If it is not obvious for you, I can understand. Gay people, having no kids of their own, can't appreciate many things normal parents consider natural. This is the way it is: some children come up with their own ideas, but most learn from example. Give kids bad example and they will become bad people. There are examples thru history: the Christian children abducted by Muslims were turned into fanatic warriors for Islam.

I'd really love for you to give me some proof. I asked you this question a total of four times in my last post and, just as I expected, you provided absolutely none.

Was there some sort of case involving the unwanted education of homosexual activities to elementary school kids? Was there some testimony by a child who was upset by this? I'm really fishing for some answers, Aaron, but you're not giving me any.

Once again, your previous post was just more of your opinion. And if you would take the time to read my posts entirely, you would see that I'm not gay. I'm straight. So I believe saying "If it is not obvious for you, I can understand. Gay people, having no kids of their own, can't appreciate many things normal parents consider natural." That comment does not apply here. If you were not implying that I'm gay, then so be it. But if you were, rest assured that I'm not.

Your comparison to radical Muslims is incredibly irrelevant. Are you suggesting that the gay population has "abducted" straight kids to turn them gay? Because, I believe it was you who said that, by converting these pure straight kids, the homosexuals "...are making it easier for them to find partners." If this is your justification for such a twisted view, I don't know what else I can do. I would ask you for proof, but you won't give it to me.

Also, I'd like to address another point you made. "Give kids bad examples and they will become bad people." Well, Aaron, I congratulate you on making such a bold statement. I could give you a fairly large list of people who grew up in the worst conditions, with the worst examples, and came out successful, good, and sometimes straight! This is fact, and your point becomes immediately void upon more careful consideration, don't you agree?

In conclusion, Aaron, instead of expanding upon your broken philosophy and using examples that any logical person would find ridiculous, I would encourage you to humor me and give me some proof. After all, it was you who said "every allegation has to be proven". But I don't see you standing by your word in this fruitful discussion.

Please answer the questions I have asked, because you didn't answer them last time. I just want to understand your position.

James: There is a vast difference between civil and ceremonial laws that governed an ancient Jewish theocracy and enduring moral laws, which have a universal application.

From the perspective of Scripture, Christ made it crystal clear that the ceremonial aspects of the law would be fulfilled through His life, death, and resurrection. He made it equally clear that the scriptural injunctions against sexual perversions — including homosexuality — were universal and enduring. Likewise, the apostle Paul uses language reminiscent of Leviticus when he describes what he refers to as “degrading” sexual perversions. Paul says that “women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion” (Rom. 1:26–27). As Thomas Schmidt notes:

It is not clear what he meant by “penalty” in his time, but it is hard not to make a connection between his words and the health crisis we observe in our time. Sexual liberation has brought homosexuals out of the closet into a shadow of physical affliction where a score of diseases lurk. And as if this were not gloomy enough, the more deadly specter of HIV infection deepens the shadow, not only for the ever-growing number who die but also for those who are left behind to grieve and to wonder who will die next.

We would do well to recognize that the God of the Bible does not condemn homosexuality in an arbitrary and capricious fashion. Rather, He carefully defines the borders of human sexuality so that our joy may be complete. It does not require an advanced degree in physiology to appreciate the fact that the human body is not designed for homosexual relationships. Spurious slogans and sound bites do not change the scientific reality that homosexual relationships are devastating not only from a psychological but also from a physiological perspective: “Irritation of the sensitive rectal mucus layer causes a host of reactions, including diarrhea, cramps, hemorrhoids, prostate damage, and ulcers or fissures which in turn invite infection. The thin cell layer of the rectum is easily perforated, and its insensitivity to pain can lead to serious complications before a person is aware of any harm.”

This is just the tip of an insidious iceberg. Common nonviral infections transmitted through homosexual activity are “amebiasis, giardiasis, gonorrhea, shigellosis, chlamydia, syphilis and ectoparasites.” Viral infections include “condylomata, herpes, hepatitis B and hepatitis A. Like bacterial infections, these diseases are easily transmitted by oral-genital contact, genital-anal contact and oral-anal contact.” Suffice it to say that while there are attendant moral and medical problems with sexual promiscuity in general, it would be homophobic in the extreme to obscure the scientific realities concerning homosexuality. It is a hate crime of unparalleled proportions to attempt to keep a whole segment of the population in the dark concerning such issues.

". . . you must have a very warped sense of what Christianity is all about. It's about loving all people all the time ..."

Here is the core of much of the misunderstanding about the role of Christianity by a world of non-believers. Christian teaching is above all a search for truth, for it is the truth that will make Christians free. (John 8:32)

The truth is that following the wrong road (e.g. using drugs, stealing from your neighbors, getting angry, having sex with the wrong people) will bring chaos, pain, and ruin into your life. Christian peoples are the most successful of all the cultural groups in the world -because they're truth-seeking. They produce the best scientists, the best soldiers, the best books, the best legal systems, and the best airplanes. They're the healthiest and the most content. Not because they hug and kiss each other and pray out loud, but because they're always digging for absolute truth. Christians love homosexuals like they love any Christian with behaviour problems - but they also recognize the truth that homosexuals bring chaos, disease, and pain into their lives and into the lives of everybody they know. Christians also know that stuff like this only gets worse if we can't search out - and talk about - the truth. Covering it up will only return us to the Dark Ages, and renaissance Christian academics fought long and hard to get us out of there. Nobody wants to go back there, and it's the truth that will keep us free.

Perversion is a compulsion and a compulsion is a high; it rushes endorphins around in the brain making its experience a bit out of control, on the edge, beyond the indulger’s judgment and morality. Too bad our sexual peccadilloes did not stay confined to the bedroom where there was no need for justification. Instead we allowed perversion to bathe in the light of day by normalizing and encouraging it.
But by making it normal we took away it’s illicit thrill, and the over- indulgent, compulsive part was forced to find other venues of release.
Seduction is the main way homosexuals increase their ranks. And they understand we are a mimicking species, so it was not hard for homosexuals to push perversion onto the children, marriage, schools, religion; to destroy icons and traditions in order to satisfy a narcissistic compulsive need.
We avoid admitting promiscuous homosexual behavior was the main behavior in spreading aids and the majority of pedophiles are homosexuals. We have keep logic, reasoning and our mouths shut for too long.

What is utter madness Susan is that this man is being prosecuted by a quasi judicial tribunal in a free and democratic country for saying something someone elso found offensive.

The big problem with this is that Canadians seem to have collectively forgotten the fact that, bound up with the right of free speech is the right to say things others might find offensive or even subversive. Those who have even a basic understanding of what it means to be free realize that bad ideas are not defeated by using state coercion to gag people, they are defeated by calmly and cogently answering them with good ideas. It is the hallmark of governments in the thrall of bad ideas to use coercion to silence anyone who questions the reigning dogma. Conversely, it is the hallmark of governments that are confident in the rightness of their guiding principles that they allow open public dissent to be expressed without harassing the disssenters. Given the actions of various human rights tribunals across Canada it would seem our government falls into the former category, not the latter. The provincial and federal human rights tribunals are arguably the single greatest threat to basic personal freedom that Canadians face. Right now in Canada, if you say something publicly that someone else thinks offensive or a violation of his or her rights, you face the very real risk of being hauled before a human rights tribunal and having your wealth taken from you, your right to free speech curtailed and your dignity removed by having to apologize for hurting the complainant's feelings.

This is indeed utter madness because we in Canada have a centuries long tradition of recognizing basic personal freedoms, of which the freedom to express one's ideas, regardless of their popularity, is foundational. And we are throwing away this precious freedom, which those in previous generations were willing to die for, to accomodate those who are so thin skinned they cannot tolerate anything critical being said about the way they choose to live or what they choose to believe. If we want to be free that means we are going to have to give up the illusion that we can be free without the right to free speech. Take away the right to free speech and eventually you loose all your freedoms. And that means letting those like Rev. Boission speak freely and unmolested, even if YOU think what they are saying is madness.

First, many posts I have seen are trying to say that Rev. Boissoin said that homosexuals ARE, the statement is "Homosexual rights activists and those that defend them, are just as immoral as the pedophiles, drug dealers and pimps that plague our communities." It is a comparison, not an accusation.

I personally do NOT want my child taught these things by the schools. I teach them tolerance and compassion...and I teach them that no matter what I will love them unconditionally. I teach them that it's not ok to make fun of someone because they're "different". Considering the condition of most schools today, I do not want them to decide what is moral and what isn't.

Yeah, the wild arrogance of those who wish to silence those who disagree with others amazes me as well.

That does far more damage than any religion or sexual preference could ever dream of doing.

Past cultures and countries have done that. I think any educated person is well aware of the damage that attitude will do. But perhaps not - I think some people disagree with the idea that if we fail to learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.

I wouldn't ever try to silence them; however, their owns words will say all that really needs to be said about their arrogance.

I would like to point out that at the time this letter was being written, there was actually a Bill going through legislation which had a complete homosexual agenda, one that would put you in jail simply for disagreeing with homosexuality.

Those who are saying this letter was a hate letter, or encouraging people to take violent action is completely ludicrous.

What he was speaking out about was not being homosexual. It was about the fact that homosexuality is being forced on our society these days. It has gone beyond equality to a point where we are told what we have to think and feel about it.

As he stated, he has nothing against homosexuals, and in fact loves them as he does anyone else. That was not his agenda.

I have gay friends who know that I in no way condone homosexuality, and yet they understand that my beliefs does not affect how I feel about them in any way.

I applaude Stephen for making a stand when many would not.

Aaron, I'm not sure what world you live in - scratch that, a sick, distorted world. Just so I've got this straight (pun intended):

-Claim: Gays (your word, not mine, and quite telling) capture children by forcing governments to include gay sexual education in elementary school. Well, perhaps the porn industry has the same goal: capturing children by teaching sex in school. They are going to capture all those new "porn consumers" early. Truly pathetic.

-Claim: Expressing views is moral neutral but practicing them is a choice. But it's wrong when it doesn't align with Christian values (Church good, Sharia bad). What a joke! Why don't we just start some crusades here and show them what's what?

-Claim: becoming an accepting individual is good, until it encroaches on christian values. The big evil homosexual machine gobbling up the minds of babies and being unhappy forever because they can't procreate. "Mandated propaganda", exposes them to illness!?!?!, they are the cause of the aging population? You are beyond hope...

What's laughable is how prominent homosexuality and pedophilia is amongst catholic priests. He who doth protest? LAF

Riddle me this batman: who says homosexuality is bad? Christianity and Islam.

So, does everyone who believes in something different deserve to be force fed "your" version of morality based on your "religion"?

Fact: Less than 20% of these so called Christians attend services on a regular basis. Regardless of the fact that Canada is a secular government (to the degree possible) it seems fantastical that we should even consider the opinions of this "moral" segment of the population, who, for the most part, get their marching orders from Rome, when less than 20% of them fulfill their obligations to attend mass? LAF LAF LAF LAF LAF

While I think most of the blow-back against the homosexual agenda is self-righteous in it's motivation, it is not wholly incorrect. Homosexuals are quite aggressive in the US about gaining acceptance and SPECIAL RECOGNITION centered around a sexual orientation and its concomitant sexual practices, which many personally consider 'perverted.' Additionally, the fact that the Christian right has captured this issue and made it theirs only helps its promotion; gays say, "see we are the victims..." Let me first state here is that we live in an age where every type of corruption/perversion is rampant, and which equates to exploitation of one kind or another (see especially that of the financial sector). Also, the new age movement that claims there is no such thing as good and evil and that it's all 'relevant.' Hogwash. Real spiritual consciousness is so rare that few understand what is normal, natural, ethical, good, etc., and whether they exist at all in the higher sense. The root of this paucity of understanding stems from a lack of self-understanding. Moreover, we are socialized to suppress--and sometimes deny--what we sense deep down is true and good (under the guise of tolerance). Thus, if there is no darkness (evil), there is no Light (goodness, consciousness, or enlightenment); there is no such thing as either wholesomeness or perversion--after all it all relative, right?. It's no wonder that even with all the entertainment and material things WE STILL FEEL EMPTY.

When one deeply understands why homosexuality (or any other issue for that matter) is harmful and/or unnatural, he or she DOES NOT attack homosexuals. He or she RECOGNIZES corruption for what it is (i.e, does not simply BELIEVE, but apprehends through awareness), and refuses to COOPERATE with its promotion or acceptance. Further, he or she also understands that slanderous and negative labels will be hurled at him or her for a so-called 'lack of tolerance.'

Darkness should never be attacked, but neither should it be accepted or tolerated. This means speaking and acting truly, and sometimes actively protecting your children where applicable. It may mean contradicting what the educational system and their allies teach and/or assert. One must never accept the promotion of evil out of fear. A sincere truth-seeker is willing to face unpleasant reactions. Refusing to accept is not the same as attacking. Also, expect to be labeled a 'homophobe,' and other such things, but don't let devils through you into to self doubt. Homosexuality is unnatural and it's promotion is damaging to the society as a whole. Remember too that speaking the truth is NOT the same as self-righteous condemnation.

This is one of the saddest and most pathetic discussion threads I have ever read...if you all only knew how ludicrous you sound.

Simply claiming that you know what "the truth" is exposes all the flaws in your horribly biased argument, Ken.

And God forbid that gays should be asking for "special treatment" and god, the blacks did that 40 years ago and look where it got them!

Obviously, my previous paragraph is sarcasm, but I say it to make a point. Gays ARE being treated unequally, they ARE being arrested for trivial religious reasons, and they ARE being ridiculed by people like you, Ken. It all comes down to a simple civil rights struggle. These people (gays) do not start out straight and then one day just choose to start having sex with men. Why the hell would they choose to put themselves in such a position, society-wise? What good would it possibly do them to purposefully choose a lifestyle that's constantly condemned and mocked by religious bigots and some members of the government? Why would anyone make that choice? The answer is that they don't. They do not make the choice, they are born gay. That's just how it works. You can say everything you want about the "agenda" and "gay recruits" and how they're poisoning our society and how you "refuse to cooperate with the promotion of corruption" (which is just a prettier way of saying "I think homosexuality is wrong"). But, Ken, any way you cut it, you're still going to look absurd to everyone out there who has opened their minds and seen the TRUE light. That you have to accept people for who they are.

Blogger Marc Rebillet said...

...oh, and don't say "Well, I accept it. I accept it, but I refuse to cooperate with it."

That's just ridiculous. Hiding behind floral language to conceal your bigoted opinion is not the way to go, Ken. I'm done with this thread...I've tried and tried and tried, but no one ever seems to want to have a real discourse. Just look at all the posts I've made on here; no one ever actually addresses the issues I bring up. It's the perfect example of Christian ignorance and the refusal to see anything but what you think is "right".

I'm sorry Mark, Gay is not a not a race, but a sexual identity, a sexual preference. Even so, if we are to speak of 'discrimination' in the US, perhaps we should look at 'class,' which is arguably the biggest umbrella of discrimination, though that is another subject.

If you are a homosexual, and your main concern is defending, justifying, and promoting your preferred lifestyle, or aggressively seeking special recognition for it, then you might ask yourself about why you feel you need to do that. What is authentically true and pure NEVER needs to prove itself right. Also, do you notice the more you push, the more resistance you encounter? Aggression always begets aggression, it's a spiritual law. That aggression can be subtle or overt.

Rather than doing that you can use inner conflict to 'know thyself.' Eckhart Tolle says that used correctly, a sexual identity crises can bring one closer to the Light--as long as it does not become part of his or her ego identity. Once in the Light, you cannot be pulled back into the darkness and know, intuitively, what is wholesome and what is not? Why? Because you, yourself are no longer fragmented within. Making homosexuality your main concern is making a fragment of the whole of what you are all important. Doing this only increases inner division, seen or unseen. And the fact that someone has to justify something proves they are wrong. Think about it.

Blogger Marc Rebillet said...

Ken, I'm afraid you've reached a dead end. I hate to disappoint you, but I'm not a homosexual. I have a cousin who is, and several friends that are...but alas, I'm not stricken with this "sexual preference" as you so call it.

As for your arguments that state that you must be wrong about something if you have to prove it...I find that completely ridiculous. You're going to have to realize that not everyone, including me, believes in Christian spirituality and Christian values. This is the way the world is; a world of multiple faiths, beliefs, practices and lifestyles.

I am personally of the belief that truth is entirely subjective. Your argument is absurd to me, since you speak of truths as if they are definite and empirical. I wish they were, but living life teaches us that everyone has different perspectives of what truth is and what the right thing is. Surely you can agree with me on this.

If you do agree, how can you not see that someone else's truth might have just as much value to them as yours does to you? Why can't you respect that, instead of forcing people to act the way your truth wants them to act? It's simply a matter of respecting and understanding the fact that people's opinions, beliefs, and lifestyles (even though they may differ from yours completely) might have just as much validity and truth to them as yours do to you.

It's very simple, really. It's an understanding and accepting of that.

Ignoring for a moment the morality homosexuality, examine the implications of Stephen Boissoin's letter. If a homophobic person were to read this kind of letter there is no question it would (and did) stir up violence. While Stephen Boissoin may not have intended for this to happen, in his position as a community leader his words have major consequences. That is what he is on trial for, and that is what he should (and was) be punished for. A correlation was made between this letter and the beating of a young man, for which Stephen Boissoin was at least partly responsible.

If we as a society allow such speech (particularly from our public leaders) to spread unchecked then our society will polarize like the American model. It is shocking to see kind of the violence committed against gay people in the United States. Outside of a few districts in major cities it is impossible to be openly gay. Self-inflicted wounds are perhaps an even greater problem; young gay men committing suicide. Perhaps Stephen Boissoin didn't think about some of the young men sitting in his own congregation, and how they felt when he made such comments: Self-hatred.

Pay the penalty and learn your lesson. Speak out against violence. Maintain your personal views on morality, but don't jeopardize the lives of others to spread your personal opinions.

*Note: Homosexuality isn't caused by exposure to literature, etc. You don't catch it like the flu... it is a part of who someone is. When you insult that, it is a deeply personal thing.

In his comment Marc Rebillet provides some links to web sites and then says “Now that I've provided a fair amount of proof to support my statement”
Well Marc, these sites don’t prove anything. In fact here are some quotes taken from these sites:
“While this study did not come up with any hard core facts about the genetics of homosexuality”
“Although researchers are hopeful, a single gene has not yet been identified”
“In addition, Hamer attempted to locate a similar gene in female homosexuals, but was unsuccessful (7). The results that Hamer's study did find though, cannot yet be accepted as absolute truth”
Marc you are reading more than what is there, check out the sites below and see for yourself.
Now if you were correct (and your not) that homosexuality is linked to a genetic defect, it would be just that, a defect. When babies are born with defects of any kind genetic or not, every step is taken to correct the defect. The same should be true for homosexuality for the simple reason that it is harmful to the one who engages in it. To learn more about the health risks of gay sex check the following link:
When any given type of particular behaviour is found to be unhealthy resulting in a shortened life, as a society we discourage it. Smoking for example is unhealthy resulting in a shortened life. If it were encouraged in our schools like homosexuality is, one might “declare war” on the individual promoting it. This does not mean that this individual hates smokers or wants someone to hurt or kill them. Rather it means that this individual cares for children and doesn’t want them encouraged to engage in this type of dangerous behaviour. It would be shameful if the Human Rights Commission ruled that someone could never again make disparaging remarks against smokers. This type of ruling would, and in the case of Steve Boissoin does indeed prove the HRC to be a kangaroo court.

Individual homosexuals, who seek same-sex companionship are not the problem. The political/social/cultural landscape that permits, embraces, promotes and encourages mainstream America to explore alternative sexuality is the problem.
The homosexual lifestyle is like the way discarded meat becomes a hotbed for bacteria, maggots, insects and foul stench. This is a metaphor for how deviant sexuality lowers one's moral compass to a degree where heavy smoking, drug/alcohol use, mulitple anonymous sexual partners all seem very benign and routine. Deviation breeds deviation, a trend that always spirals in a downward direction. This concept is best summed up by the word "decadence". And people's morals in society are so dumbed-down and forgotten by a constant assault of "self gratification" message from the mass media.

I would consider myself "Christian", as I used to go to church with my mom as a child, and the story of Jesus supports my notions of what's behind all human nature. These days, I'd consider myself a "closeted" christian, or sombody that denys their faith most of the time. Very hypocritical, I know.

Very odd, but there's one thing that keeps me revisiting my often-denied faith - homosexual indoctrination perpetrated by the mass media. Nothing gives me a return to reckoning with matters of faith as the work of these ambassadors of the devil.
It touches something deep within, that shocks me to awareness that this isn't right and that this climate of tolerance will be a trendsetter in the discarding of values that will one day lead to humanity's end.

I really object to being lumped together with pedophiles, drug dealers and pimps and being told that my behavior, as a whole, is immoral. This man does NOT know who I am, and it seems clear to me that he is bent on seeing homosexuals ONLY with sin-colored glasses, sadly, not as individuals who have anything useful or helpful to contribute to society. To counter his wild ambiguous assertions, I should tell you about myself. I am a married lesbian who has been with my wife now for 16 years. She is the only woman I have ever been with and we are completely monogamous, even though we both actually identify as bi-sexual. We make each other very happy and are very supportive of each other's hopes and dreams. But aside from our relationship- here is who we both are as people. We're currently looking for the right home to purchase. We aim to eat organic and local. We're environmentally minded. We like to support small business. We are both on the national Bone Marrow list. We try to be thoughtful of others, polite on the road, good citizens, and neighbors. We help strangers and animals. I've a vet tech and my wife is an engineer. I donate blood. I have donated over a gallon in my lifetime. After I have a child I plan to sign up to give away a kidney to someone who needs it. I don't know who, but it would be interesting if it was someone who hates gays! So, no, I don't think I am an immoral person. I have this "SIN" that I live proudly with every day. People SIN all the time. And if anyone is keeping track, I'm not christian, so I don't consider it sin either, so there's that! Imagine that a non-christian trying to be the best person they can be. One persons opinion is another persons judgement. You have taken the Pastor’s letter out of context.

If I am going to use your interpretation of judging (which I agree with in principle) I believe that context should be included and we do that by reading the rest of the verse.

The bible does not instruct Christians not to judge others, It says.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged" Matt 7:15 and numerous other verses

If one is prepared for God to judge him to the same exacting standards that he has judged others so be it. If you are living your life according to the bible then you have nothing to fear because knows your intent. He knows the difference between hate-speech, judgement and opinions when he sees it and he knows when one is defending God’s Word. Everything that the Pastor wrote is biblical - whether you like it or not.

You shouldn't pick and choose the verses that fit your worldview. Quite the opposite, one needs to change their worldview and align it with scripture. The vast majority of Christians often misinterpret scripture and that is what I believe you have done in this instance.

Your false interpretation of this scripture is often used as a mechanism to silence Christians and you seem to have fallen for it. it seems that you expect Christians to stay silent while our children are indoctrinated with what God calls abominations of a reprobate mind. You said "It truly doesn't matter if a person is gay, bi-sexual, trans gendered, ect." - so is God right or are you right?

I’m not sure what bible you are reading or how often you are reading it but I would encourage you to read a King James Bible cover to cover, every day, for the rest of your life and pray for discernment. Don’t gloss over the verses that don’t fit your worldview, the one that modern man has told you to accept.

God is always right, he is perfect in every way - man is often wrong and his words don’t come close to the authority of God’s Word.

True Christians are praying for all sinners, and that means every living person in the world as we have all sinned and have fallen short of the Lord, and that includes homosexuals and heterosexuals. God calls on us to love everyone but that does not mean that he wants Christians to be silent, marginalised and railroaded.

Homosexuals represent between 1% - 5% of the community and the number is growing

I believe that one of the main reasons that it is growing is because we are being bombarded with pro-homosexual content in practically every area of our lives. I refuse to watch TV but most people do so next time you watch it pay close attention to the % of TV shows with a homosexual character/person and compare it to the % in society and again compare it to the % that were on TV 10, 20 and 30 years ago.

I love and pray for homosexuals (and everyone else) but I am not going to stay silent on the indoctrination that is taking place, Christians also have a voice and they should use but only from a position of love. The content that is been forced upon us desensitises us and that is a major reason why we are seeing an increase in LBGT relationships and it’s acceptance as being normal.

The bible says that it isn’t normal so forgive me for believing God and disagreeing with you.

God Bless

Marc, you said...

"You are doing nothing but slowing down this process and, in turn, slowing down the advancement of civilization."

By pure definition alone it is the physical act of homosexuality that is slowing down the advancement of civilization - homosexuals are unable to naturally pro-create. If you believe in the twisted evolution hypothesis (and it is a hypothesis) you are speeding up the extinction of the human species, is that advancement? If you believe in Creation then you are disobeying God's law. Either way, it is not advancement.

One person will define the advancement of civilization as - 'do whatever makes you feel good and accept just about anything', that is a very slippery slope as you will soon see - while another group will define it as obeying God's law and living Jesus like lives.

We've all seen the effects of your type of advancement on society since the 50's and 60's, we just have to look at the statistics - more divorces and broken homes, more mental health issues, more substance abuse and other addictions, both parents now working, more wealth inequality as the middle class is systematically squeezed into poverty (the 1% get richer and more powerful), more people in prison, a dumbed down society that has forgotten how to think for themselves, more wars etc etc etc.

Your definition of advancement is my definition of the destruction of mankind. I doubt that you will see it that way as you've been indoctrinated but I pray that you will.

Please don't ignore this very clear message and the statistics that support them. I think that you mean well but you are naive and misguided.

I made these comments years ago, Jack, and I no longer have the strength or the patience to deal with stupidity at your level. Take a look around you. Take a look at how the beauty of acceptance and tolerance has opened up the floodgates for the LGBT community. Recognize the futility of your position. 37 US states had legalized gay marriage before a Supreme Court ruling in 2015 decreed that gay marriage was to be recognized in all 50 states. How does that make you feel? Does it anger you? I hope it does.

You're pathetic. Everyone on "God's side" in this archaic and embarrassing discussion is pathetic. Shame on you all. At least now the tide has turned in America, and your opinions are even more ridiculous in 2016 than when this discussion began. You're the equivalent of an old white man shouting "nigger" from his stoop; bitter, decrepit, and weighed down by tired prejudices that will soon die for children to laugh at in history books.

Marc, I'm not angry, bitter or prejudiced. You are conducting character assassination and making assumptions when all I asked you to do was to look at the statistics and think for yourself. That's a common trend among atheists because they can't debate fact, evidence or science so discrediting is their strategy.

I am at peace because I know that God has it all in hand and that all of us will have to stand before him one day and be judged. That gives me great comfort but I will pray that you will see the light before it's too late for you. Stupid people are the ones that accept what they are told without looking at the evidence for themselves and I suspect that you are in that camp. if this message doesn't resonate with you then maybe it will resonate with someone else and then it will have been worth it.

Albert Einstein said - education begins when you forget everything that you learned in school - I suggest you listen to him and take it seriously.

People with your position are unknowingly paving the way for the anti-christ and that is inevitable and it is covered in great detail in the bible. I know what it coming but you don't. I expect more states and countries to fall away from God's values and there is nothing that I can do to stop it and I have accepted that but I might be able to helps save a few souls before it's too late.

We are moving closer and closer to a one-world government, religion and currency. Rest assured, that while we may have different positions it seems to me that we are both looking forward to where this is inevitably headed.

You have been indoctrinated, and before you say that I am the one that has been indoctrinated please note that not so long ago I was agnostic and at times an atheist. I found God after looking at the cold hard evidence on both sides of the debate and it took me three years and thousands of hours of research before I became a Christian and understood how the world works.

The best known atheists in the world have been consistently beaten by the likes of John Lennox, William Lane Craig and Walter Brown but you won't hear about that on the news and you won't see the top atheists debating them anymore because their position and evidence is a house of cards. I hope that you know for example that gravity is still only a theory and that it still cannot be proven? I'm only scratching the surface with the lies science dresses up as facts.

So why is evolution taught in schools as 'fact' just like homosexuality while neither of them are facts? It's indoctrination of the masses and it's very successful yet you fail to see it for what it is.

Before closing the door and saying that God's side is pathetic" please watch these videos and if you don't feel inclined to watch them now please save them for another day. I agree that religion is pathetic but that is man twisting things once again. Don't confuse God with religion, it kept me away for many years.

Christopher Hitchens Admits defeat -
Richard Dawkins v John Lennox -
Walter Brown defeats two atheists -
Atheist Scientist Hugh Ross Becomes Christian After Researching Evidence -

I love all people Marc and I would never use the 'n' word like you just have but I love God more and his Laws are not up for debate. You will come to know just how true that is one day and I hope that you are on the right with God by then for your own sake. God Bless you Marc and peace brother.
